Welcome to the first post!    


On October 5th, my solo show, In the Realm of Light & Shade debuted at Orange Coast College's student project space.  It was my first time putting together a solo presentation, promotional material and catering--all by myself.  I had been in group shows in the recent past, where the other artists and the public attended the opening reception.  Often times, the openings would get quite busy.  With an opening on a Wednesday evening, the reception had the right amount of intimacy and stimulation.  I was able to talk to just about everyone that came in and entertain them.  Winterman from Tim and Eric Awesome Show made a surprise appearance--and that was when things got interesting. 

The show was a thrill and a learning experience.  I enjoyed interacting with everyone who came to see it, reading the entries in the guestbook and being able to enjoy the experience.  I never expected such positive reviews from people I never met, nor my classmates.  A few lessons were learned in the process, and some new insights were discovered.  I look forward to the day when my next solo show is at an influential gallery.
